Hermes
A self-hosted personal AI agent for its owner's own use.
What Hermes is
Hermes is a self-hosted personal AI agent, built on the open-source Hermes agent by Nous Research. It is run by a single owner on their own server for their own personal use. The Google Cloud OAuth client is registered as "Hermes (Desktop)".
Hermes integrates with Google Workspace so that it can act on the owner's own Google data, at the owner's request. It does not serve other users and it is not a service offered to the public.
What Hermes does
When the owner asks, Hermes can work with the owner's own Google data to complete tasks such as:
- Reading a Google Sheet to produce a daily task reminder.
- Reading and sending email through Gmail.
- Listing, creating, and managing files in Google Drive.
- Reading calendars, contacts, and documents.
To do this, the agent may request access to the following Google scopes: Gmail (read, send, and modify), Google Drive (full access), Google Calendar, Google Contacts (read-only), Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
About your Google data
Hermes is a single-user, self-hosted application. The only Google account it ever connects to is the owner's own account. Details about how Google data is accessed, used, stored, and shared are set out in the privacy policy.
